I am venturing into the world of marketing as an affiliate product owner (clickbank) and would like some advice please.I have considered blogging as a means to advertise my products. But, I am aware that blog.com and blogger.com etc may consider this a form of spamming.
I do not have the skills to set up my own website as a blog type site. Neither can I afford, at this stage, to hire a web designer. I am considering buying a domain name, hosting space etc but need advice on what would be best for my needs?
I do need the following:

Here’s what I need from a web-hosting service, and I’d appreciate it greatly if someone could give me a good recommendation.
I need: something that will work with a mac (most sites don’t say specifically whether their services are compatible with macs), a monthly payment plan, a service that will include a personalized domain name (only one domain name) in the plan/price, Japanese language capable, ability to run a small business, photo video and blog capable, a decent editing program that doesn’t require advanced html/web design knowledge, and at a decent price for a poor college student. The following are not neccessary, but I would like something with personalized error pages, and a decent amount of storage space (10 gigs at least), guest book mailing list and survey ability, and decent customer service.
I liked the look of Host Monster the best, but they don’t have a monthly payment plan. Help plz?

So I host an existing website and would now like to have a "blog" tab. I go through godaddy right now and they do offer a free blog, but i did not see an option to add it to my website.
I’m a definite newbie to this so if someone could explain to me the best way to do this. After researching, I have already figured out that customizing the blog to match my website is out of the question. I just want to integrate it to the website (www.mydomain.com/blog). I read about adding a "blog" folder to the root directory…but how would the blog feed into there? Is PHP script needed? And where would I get the PHP script?

i don’t exactly want to create a blog, more or less a news feed that displays a list of news on the front page (such as how http://speeddemosarchive.com/ set up their news). i am wondering what the best/easiest way to do this is, either setting it up blog style, setting up an rss feed, or just sending an updated page to the web site host place every day (i have never hosted a site so i don’t yet know what that entails).

I’ve built a pretty decent website with iWeb, and it will probably work fine, but I’m not sure if there is a better option. Everything is just getting so complicated and cluttered. I don’t know HTML and I’m too busy to learn how to make anything too good with it. I don’t have Dreamweaver and I don’t want to pay for it.
I’ve heard good things about WordPress, but does it only work for blogs? Is there some easy "miracle" solution to make a good website (I’m guessing not, but who knows)?
